Moment with Olga: ADDICTION (Assuming Drug abuse, Malpractice and Masturbation Is Kept Constant.
First of all let’s understand addiction…
The state of being addicted or devoted,
It is also an habit or practice that damages, jeopardizes or shortens one’s life but when ceased causes trauma.
A pathological relationship to mood altering experiences that has life damaging consequences.
With that being said, Now we understand addiction is when one is too attached or involved in a certain habit, practice or activity which they have lost total control of. “Too much of everything, we’ve been told is bad”, now to the topic at hand. In today’s society, generally around the world,
- Drug abuse,
- Malpractice and
are the three habits that are at it’s peak majorly among our youths and speaking of being kept constant, it has become a norm and our youths have lost total control over these issues giving into the trending ways, like they say, “if you can’t beat them,yl you just have to join them.”
These three addictions have now become a lifestyle, having no limits and consuming more youths on a daily basis. You can only imagine what would happen to the future generations if being kept constant because certainly these habits would be passed down. One can only imagine the amount of damage.
This is simply how an addiction can affect your brain.
Now let’s go back to the beginning, how it all began. We all know it’s easy to gain a habit but difficult to loose or drop it and due to man’s interminable quest for pleasure and satisfaction, we tend to employ many agencies or means to quench this cravings and when these desires are fulfilled, a comfort is being felt and in a bid to maintain this feeling control is lost and man is being subjected and being ruled by the same thing he thought he had control over giving birth to addiction and the thing with addiction is, it makes you feel you’re in control while stealing a part of you every time you indulge it, thereby killing you slowly. I’m sure we all know what happens when you dine with the devil and our generation has been sitting comfortably on this table for too long.
Drugs can now satisfy hunger, Masturbation now gives upmost pleasure and Malpractice seen as a way or rather shortcut to success, which has now become a lifestyle, a day to day affair.Our conscience have been tied and it looks like there is no way out, but we can do our bid to break this chain by;
- doing what is right,
- by building character and
- discipline and
- then hope for liberation from this web of destruction.
Thank you for taking your time to read through.
