LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR EXTENDS THE CLOSING HOUR OF LAGOS MARKET.
Governor Babajide Sanwo- olu has finally extended the closing hours for both food and non- food markets in lagos state.
This was revealed to the general public by the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr. Wale Ahmed, in a statement released by him on Sunday evening 16th of August, 2020.
The statement read that the operation of markets in Lagos State are now between 8am to 6pm instead of 9am to 3pm.
He added that the decision of Governor Sanwo Olu to extend the operational hours of the market is to enhance trade and commerce in the state as well as cushion the effects of the covid-19 pandemic in the megacity.
The statement said that the alternate days are still in force, food markets are to open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday only while nonfood markets are to operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.
