THE LANGUAGE OF APOLOGY

Most of us will keep wondering,”how come an apology has a language”? Well my dear,its the language we all know but only few Person’s use it.
You apologize not because you were actually wrong in some cases,you apologize because you value your relationship with the person.

There are 5 basic language of  apology,According to Chapman and Thomas,

 they include;
1. Expressing regret.
2. Accepting responsibility.
3. Making restitution.
4. Genuinely repenting.
5. Requesting forgiveness.
These listed language of apology are meant to be seen in us after we have wronged someone or we just want to apologize to save our relationships.
Expressing regret. What you’re trying to say with this apology language is: “I feel bad that my behavior has hurt you, or that my behavior has hurt our relationship”—often using the words “I’m sorry.” But those words should never be spoken alone.

The Three Parts of a Meaningful and a Heartfelt Apology entails;

1. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT- This is being able to see how your actions impact on others,key is to make a sincere apology.
2. REMOSE AND EMPATHY- Remose is truely feeling bad for what you have done.
3. RESTITUTION- This means taking actions to provide an act or service to make up for the transgression.
This world will be a better place if we learn to apologize,let us let go of our ego/pride and just say the word” please am very sorry,forgive me,i know i have wronged you! Have mercy on me.

*hope you learnt something? …….stay connected.
