NIGERIA GOVERNORS APPROVES TWO WEEKS INTER-STATE LOCKDOWN.
The 36 state Governors in Nigeria have recommended a National COVID-19 Lockdown over the next two weeks.
The Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF) has approved to the implementation of a 14 days nationwide lockdown in the country to mitigate the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
The Governor reach the agreement on Wednesday after receiving briefing from the Governor of Lagos, Bauchi, Oyo and Ogun States who shared their experiences and lessons from the fight against coronavirus.
The press statement released by the Forum which consists of the 36 states governors stated;
“Governors unanimously agreed to the implementation of an inter-state lockdown in the country over the next two weeks to mitigate the spread of the virus from state to state. Only essential services will be permitted”.
