HUNGER vs CORONA VIRUS
Hunger medically can be defined as a desire, craving or the urgent need for food. Hunger can be an uneasy sensation occassioned normally by the lack of food and resulting directly from stimulation of the sensory nerves of the stomach by the contraction and churnibg movement of the empty stomach. Somerimes, when you are very hungry, your stomach starts to sing melodious for you.😂
Corona virus, we all know is a Pandemics disease that we all are facing globally which is caused by a virus and can be be contagious when we come in contact with an infected person.
During the cause of reducing the rate of this virus infection and death, The federal Government of Nigeria instructed that there be a general LOCKDOWN. This lockdown has been on since March. Schools, churches, offices, markets ( apart from people that sells foodstuffs) )and industries have been shutdown.
Everybody is at home,but forgetting that all fingers are not equal. The most challenging issue on ground is not the virus itself, its HUNGER🤤. Some people feed from hand to mouth, some are very comfortable while some are managing. People die because of hunger which is heartbreaking😭.
Its only God that has been providing. Federal Government should try and reach out to people outrightly. You dont expect them to stay indoors for close to a month and, and without food? How do they survive?🙄
How to supress your appetite and avoid overeating so as to fight HUNGER and COVID-19.
1. Eat some ginger.
2. Drink adequate volume of water before every meal.
3. Exercise before a meal.
4. Eat more protein and healthy fats.
5. Eat more high-fiber foods.
6. Avoid chocolates.
7. Eat food with low- calories.
